For this week’s classmate conversation, I spoke to Juan Vasquez. Juan was in my Calculus 2 class my first semester here at CSULB but he and I never spoke or got to know each other very well so we took this opportunity to get to know each other better. Juan is Salvadoran and enjoys the Salvadoran dish Pupusas. Pupusas are kind of like tortillas but they have a filling inside such as cheese and pork. Some things I learned about Juan is that he is a computer science major and this is his second year at CSULB. He wants to major in computer science because one of his hobbies is gaming and he would like to create some games. His favorite game to play is Counter Strike or Smite, which are both played on a PC. Juan’s favorite subject in school is math, however, he did not like Calculus 2 and thought that was a very challenging class. He wishes that he studied harder in that class. Juan is from the Los Angeles area so he does not live with his parents, but he has a job on the weekends to support himself. Juan’s preferred type of art is traditional art such as paintings or sculptures like the ‘David.’ If Juan had a child who wanted to pursue an art career he would supportive of them if they were good at art. Furthermore, he would that they have a backup career if they don’t do well I the art field.
Here is Juan’s website where you can check out the cool and amazing art things he has been up to: juanfvasquezblog
